Outside of the Classroom: Fine Art Photography Program takes Graduate and Undergraduate students to New York City

This year students had an incredible trip, meeting with over twenty-five inspiring and influential people in the field. Both BFA and MFA students met with artists, curators, editors, and other professionals. The travel class is led by Greg Halpern.

About Greg Halpern
Gregory Halpern has published five books of photographs and is the editor, along with Jason Fulford, of The Photographer’s Playbook: Over 250 Assignments and Ideas (Aperture, 2014). He holds a BA in History and Literature from Harvard University and an MFA from California College of the Arts. Halpern was the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2014 and is a member of Magnum Photos. In 2020 he will have solo shows at SFMoMA, the Henri Cartier Bresson Foundation in Paris, and Transformer Station in Cleveland.
