RIT is looking for a New 4D Faculty Member
Tenure Track, Assistant Professor, 4D Design
The School of Photographic Arts and Sciences invites applicants to apply for a tenure track Assistant Professor in its Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) program with primary teaching responsibilities in its 4D Design curriculum. Successful candidates must be committed to introductory and upper level courses at the undergraduate level. 4D Design is one of four required Foundation studio courses for the first and second year student and introduces the basic concepts of art and design in time and space in short-form, time-based work. Interdisciplinary in nature, 4D Design supports a range of College and School disciplines,
including photography, new media design and three-dimensional digital design.
Candidates must be dedicated to scholarship and service, including student career advisement. Ideal candidates will provide leadership and vision in the continued interdisciplinary vibrancy of the School’s and College’s Foundation and BFA
programs, its students and curriculum. The appointment begins August 13, 2015.
The College of Imaging Arts and Sciences (CIAS) is critically acknowledged as one of the nation’s premier college for art, design, film, photography, and crafts. The School of Photographic Arts and Sciences (SPAS) is internationally recognized for its professional study of photographic practices in a wide array of related disciplines, including advertising, biomedical photographic communications, fine art, imaging technology,
