Week 2 of the Renovation of SPAS Gallery

After 30+ years, SPAS Gallery is getting a facelift. We’ll post here from time to time pics from the renovation. This past week the Gallery’s office was removed. Here’s a before and after view of this area of the Gallery now with a new openness of space and light. The last two images are from the demolition of a storage area that will become the new Gallery office. We spied in one area of the storage space the remains of a constuction worker’s lunch stuffed in a cinderblock — two milk cartons from about the mid-1960s, when all those cinderblocks fashioned the interior of Gannett Hall, one of the first building constructed on RIT’s Henrietta campus.
